Bio: Tim is an attorney registered to practice before the USPTO and a founding member of Dicke, Billig & Czaja, PLLC. Tim's practice is focused upon U.S. and foreign patent drafting and prosecution, patent validity and product clearance opinions, patent portfolio evaluations, agreements, and other patent related efforts including litigation advisement. Tim's primary areas of technical specialization are the mechanical arts and medical devices. Tim also regularly advises clients on trademark matters (including prosecution and opposition), copyrights, and other areas of intellectual property law. Tim proudly served as President of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association in 2003, and is a frequent speaker on patent-related topics. Tim has been named a Super Lawyer on multiple occasions by Minnesota Law & Politics.
Experience: Tim began his career as a process engineer for a large printed circuit board manufacturer. After working as an engineer for a few years, Tim started his career in the intellectual property field as a patent law clerk with Honeywell, Inc. in 1991. Tim co-founded Dicke, Billig & Czaja in 1998.
